Speaking & Teaching Engagements

Sharing my work and building community is an immensely important part of my practice. One of my favorite things about being a writer is reading my work for others and the surprising and serendipitous connections found organically.

Over the past several years, I’ve read and lectured at venues and literary event spaces across the country and abroad.

I’ve also spoken and lectured on a wide range of topics including transness, poetics, erotics, and craft. Specifically, I’ve talked about:

• Western imperialism and the transsexual body

• Fable & folklore as a mode of people’s resistance and a tool of oppression 

• Moving away from writing for the Anthropocene

• Contemporary queer literature
