Marianne is a writer and pastor's daughter originally from east Tennessee, now based in Philadelphia. Her work has been supported by the McCormack Writing Center, Sundress Academy, Rutgers University Writers House, Woodstock Byrdcliffe Artists' Guild, and Monson Arts. She is the recipient of the 2026 City of Philadelphia Illuminate the Arts Grant, the 2025 Ford/Knauth Fellowship for LGBTQIA+ Artists, and the 2022 Austin Clarke Prize for Fiction.

Her writing often explores themes of transness, land, and mysticism. She is currently working on her first novel and it is full of angels.
