Marianne is a writer and pastor's daughter originally from east Tennessee, now based in Philadelphia. She is the recipient of the 2022 Austin Clarke Prize for Fiction, the Ford/Knauth Fellowship for LGBTQIA+ Artists, a Poetry Field School alumnus, and a 2025 Tin House Summer Writer’s Workshop cohort member.
Her writing often explores themes of transsexuality, land, class warfare, and mysticism. She is currently working on her first novel and it is full of angels.
